SandBar Restaurant & Cocktail Bar

SandBar is a casual restaurant and cocktail bar at 32 North Beach Road, Umdloti Beach, about 20 metres from the sand. The restaurant seats around 90, and there’s a separate 20-seat cocktail lounge. Its website lists it as open Monday to Sunday, 11:00 to 22:00, and you can book a table there (online booking was running in September 2026).

The menu centres on sticky pork ribs from a local farm (Loving Hams), queen prawns, whole red snapper, chicken and fresh salad mains. There are also gourmet ciabatta sandwiches and homemade rump burgers, with cocktails, craft beer and wine at the bar. Come for afternoon drinks on this stretch of Umdloti Beach and stay on for dinner. It opens at 11:00, so look elsewhere for early coffee.

Ask about prices when you book if budget matters. The 11:00 to 22:00 hours may not hold on public holidays or in the quieter winter months, so phone ahead then too.
