Salt and Citrus, a newly opened restaurant in the same centre, describes its setting as built around 180-degree sea views from the upper level. Bush Tavern, an African-themed pub and grill at 1 South Beach Road, sits opposite the beach rather than directly on it, but sea views from its deck are consistently mentioned across sources, with dolphins and whales reportedly visible on a good day. Tasca Pizza on North Beach Road says on its own site that eating there means “eating alfresco while enjoying the gorgeous Umdloti sea view”. FOAM, the small coffee shop about 30 paces from the sea, opens its own Instagram bio with “180° sea views”.
A few other beachfront places sit close to the sand without a specific sourced sea-view claim: SandBar (about 20m from the beach), Dolores Cafe (about 20m from the sand) and Seattle Coffee Company. All three are beachfront, but their own channels do not claim a view over anything more than their immediate street. Bush Tavern’s angle is different again, a livelier pub-and-grill setting across the road rather than an upper-level terrace, better suited to sundowners and casual dinners than a formal sea-view meal.
