Marine Walk Shopping Centre at Salta Sibaya is the practical shopping stop to know when staying in Umdloti. (Looking for the newer centre on the M4? It brings groceries, a pharmacy and restaurants together, so you can collect supplies for a self-catering stay and have a meal on the same trip.

Shops for holiday essentials

• SUPERSPAR Salta: groceries for breakfasts, beach snacks and meals at your apartment.
• Woolworths Food and W.Edit: another food-shopping option at the centre.
• Dis-Chem Marine Walk: pharmacy and personal-care essentials. Contact the branch for dispensing hours, clinic appointments or stock enquiries.

Where to eat at Marine Walk

Tightline is a local favourite for seafood and sushi. Tyler’s suits a steak dinner, with a menu built around South African braai cooking. The Room, trading since March 2026, is a modern French bistro from the same Tightline group. Read the local meal and review shortlist before choosing.

For sport, Waxy’s Salta is the pub to check. Ask the branch whether it is screening your match and whether you need to reserve a table. The official Waxy’s site lists the Salta branch at Shop 5B, with phone 031 006 5180.

For a casual stop, see Mugg & Bean. Families can add Milky Lane to a shopping trip for waffles or ice cream.

Location and planning your visit

Marine Walk is in the Salta Sibaya area, away from Umdloti’s beachfront restaurant strip. Plan a drive from the beach and use the centre’s map for the entrance. Do not assume that an apartment described as being in Sibaya has a convenient walking route to the shops.

Check your chosen store’s current hours before setting out, particularly on Sundays and public holidays. For a dinner trip, make your restaurant booking directly; retail trading hours do not tell you when its kitchen closes.
