Tightline, Marine Walk

Tightline does two jobs. By day it’s a fine seafood retailer and wholesaler, and by night it turns into a seafood bar and grill. Alongside sushi, cocktails and coffee, the chef’s menu is built around hand-cut meats and ocean-fresh catches. The retail side runs fish-filleting demonstrations.

It’s at Shop 24A in Marine Walk Shopping Centre, in the Salta Sibaya precinct, where the centre’s store directory listed it in September 2026. Its own contact page gives the Salta hours as 09:00 to 21:00, Monday to Sunday, public holidays included (12 October 2026). That’s wider than the Monday and Tuesday-to-Saturday hours listed in September, so go by the newer times. The group’s restaurants page adds that the kitchen opens at 11:00, so come after that if you want to eat.

Expect upper-mid prices, toward the top end of this guide, in keeping with the fine-seafood focus. Check current prices when you get there.

It’s also one of the few venues around Umdloti with independent press coverage. Wanted Online reviewed the Salta branch in 2023 and found it a strong seafood and culinary experience.
