La Casa Nostra, Marine Walk

La Casa Nostra is a family-run Italian trattoria that has been trading since 1996. The name means “Our home”. It had been part of Umdloti for close to three decades when it became one of the first tenants at Marine Walk Shopping Centre, which opened on 30 September 2022. That makes it one of the older restaurant names on the local food scene.

It seats around 100, which is bigger than most of the smaller cafes in this guide. You can eat out in the courtyard or inside in the intimate red-brick dining room.

Locals know the kitchen for pizza, pasta, risotto and Italian grills. For seafood there are grilled prawns, calamari and mussels.

You’ll find it at Shop 06, where the centre’s store directory listed it in September 2026. The number is 031 568 1996. Marine Walk is open 08:00 to 22:00, seven days a week, but tenants set their own shorter hours inside that window. La Casa Nostra doesn’t publish its own hours, so ring before you go.
