SUPERSPAR Salta is the anchor supermarket at Marine Walk Shopping Centre, the shopping and food centre that opened in October 2022 to serve the Sibaya precinct and Umdloti. It opened with the centre, and the North Coast Courier said at the time that it brought “high quality convenience” to the area. That holds up. It was the first full-format supermarket of its kind serving Umdloti and the newer Sibaya estates directly. Before it opened, a proper weekly grocery shop meant a drive south into Umhlanga.

It’s more than a grocery stop. Inside the store you’ll find Saint Frank Cafe, which serves coffee and Italian gelato from a menu designed by Ray’s Kitchen, along with a sushi bar and Harley’s East Coast Style Pizza. There’s also a butcher, Karoo Kitchen, a florist, Bloom, and Brookes & Will for homeware and gifts. None of these publish separate hours, so assume the store’s own.

Those hours are longer than most standalone Umdloti businesses in this guide, which suits its job as the everyday grocery stop for nearby developments like Salta Sibaya, OceanDune and Gold Coast Estate. If you’re moving to the Sibaya area or renting nearby, it’s your closest full-size grocery option, ahead of driving into Umhlanga or Ballito.
