Reefside opened as scheduled on Thursday 1 October 2026. Press coverage dated around the opening reports the centre anchored by Weylandts, which consolidated its Ballito and Umhlanga stores into one purpose-built, multi-level showroom at Reefside designed by StudioLandt, alongside 21 other tenants. A public launch event followed on Saturday 3 October 2026, reported to have included a live broadcast from the centre by East Coast Radio.
The centre’s own store directory, hours and map pin are on the Reefside page, with what is still unconfirmed. Expect the M4 around the Sibaya turn-offs to stay busier than usual in the centre’s opening weeks, on top of the ongoing M27 interchange works.
