Yes. December is Umdloti’s busiest month by a clear margin. Local estimates, from a developer’s area profile and Wikipedia, say the permanent population of roughly 3,000 can swell up to tenfold as holidaymakers arrive for the school-holiday season. Short-term rental data for the area confirms it numerically: December, January and April are the three strongest months for both occupancy and nightly rate, against a clear low season in August through October.

The driver is the national school calendar.
