What it offers, and what it does not
The website has pages headed Surfing, Kitesurfing and Paddle-Ski Fishing. As of 20 September 2026, those pages describe the coast itself. The surfing page explains that the chalets sit in the middle of a 5 km stretch of sandbars, reef and a right-hand point. The paddle-ski page calls kayak and paddle-ski fishing “one of the locals’ favoured activities”. Neither page mentions a rental, a lesson, an instructor or a price.
The accommodation page is clear that outside visitors may not use Surf Motel’s facilities, so you can’t treat it as a public way onto the water. If you’re hoping to arrive without a board and get kitted out, ask the business first.
An earlier version of this page called Surf Motel a “paddle-ski fishing outfit” offering “surfing lessons and kitesurfing access”. That went further than the source supported, and it has been corrected.

The website takes bookings and lists 2024 rates, with a deposit schedule for the November to January peak. Message on WhatsApp ((+27) 60 519 2137) or ring the mobile ((+27) 74 405 7657). Surf Motel is also on Airbnb and Booking.com, the easier places to check current availability and read guest reviews. That 2024 rate card may no longer apply, so confirm current rates when you book, and ask then whether guests can get equipment or tuition on request.
