New Umdloti Community and Coworking Space Opens Above Victory Surf Shop

Reported 31 July 2026, Umdloti gained a new ocean-view coffee, community and coworking space above Victory Surf Shop, soft-launched by owner Deon Bosman, also known locally for “Bossie’s Beach Report.” The launch was an invite-only event.

The space is described as blending surf culture, coffee and remote working, filling a real gap this site’s own research flagged. Umdloti previously had no confirmed dedicated coworking or remote-work venue, despite growing interest in the village from buyers and renters who work remotely and want beach-village living without giving up city-grade connectivity.

The village already has a café and coffee-shop scene, including FOAM, Manta Cafe and others along the beachfront, and the Umdloti Community Space concept. This new space adds to a shift toward Umdloti accommodating longer-stay, work-from-anywhere visitors and residents, not just short holiday-makers.
